This is our first update for this year.
Given a short downtime late last year due to our inexperience with web hosting, Golden Chersonese Miniatures has finally migrated to a new host server.
We have recently obtained a lot of information on Javanese kratons and batik cloth. We are now incorporating it into SERIES B JAVANESE KRATON. Look out for the new changes throughout the year.
One of the new directions has been to devise new ways of depicting Batik patterns in the Series B figures. The courtiers have had white or beige spots added to their sarongs to represent the more formal batik patterns of the courts. Other changes have been the inclusion of a sembong (yellow/red sash) added to some courtiers to represent specific occasions. As for other approaches, well, one just has to wait and see.
Most of the material will be given in a detailed booklet on the Javanese kratons to be included with all Series B sets. Thus B3 gamelan sets will include the JAVANESE KRATON GAMELAN ORCHESTRA booklet as well as the JAVANESE KRATON booklet.
